  About the role:

  • Deliver rigorous, Ontario Curriculum-aligned instruction in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science & Technology, and History & Geography for Grades 7–8.
  • Prepare students for the transition to high school, including building strong academic habits and independent thinking skills.
  • Use discussion-based, inquiry-driven, and project-based strategies that challenge students to think critically and engage deeply.
  • Maintain a fair and respectful classroom culture, understanding that adolescent behaviour requires consistency, boundaries, and genuine relationships.
  • Conduct varied assessments, provide constructive feedback, and prepare Ontario-aligned report cards and progress reports.
  • Engage students in real conversations about Islamic identity, values, and what it means to live as a Muslim, going beyond curriculum to support tarbiyah at a deeper level.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, attend school events, and collaborate actively with the TES team.
